Big Top Sunshades and weather protection hangars are the standard for flight line aircraft. Individual hangars are positioned so that pilots can perform "start up-n-go" operation. In addition, maintenance personnel are completely shaded which increases morale and helps with job function. These three sunshades were originally constructed at the Ogden, UT facility and relocated after the 2002 Olympics. The ability to relocate our structures offers our clients complete flexibility to configure and reconfigure our products. Dimensions: 78ft wide x 80ft long x 34ft center height.   Big Top was approached by the Navy to provide enclosures for the maintenance of the #2 Catapult on the USS Kennedy. Our solution consisted of 25 crane-liftable segments that were installed end-to-end to fully enclose the catapult system on the Kennedy. Workers can still access all points along the project by moving an individual segment with the crane. The entire system was shipped on two 48ft flatbeds. After this project the system will be relocated to Norfolk for a project scheduled in 2004. Dimensions: 19'7x30x16x12sw.

Vehicle inspection shelters/canopies are temporary solutions to heightened base security. These structures will be used until permanent facilities are completed.   Lightning protection kits are available for all military post protection sheds. Force protection will often specify grounding or lightning protection is included with the assembly. The entire security patrol booth can be covered with multilane models or one area for inspection can be installed adjacent to main traffic lanes. These shelters can be rapidly installed and deployed to remote locations. Most inspection shelters can be installed in less than one day per gate or post. Traffic can be diverted to other lanes or gates during the assembly period which minimizes disruption to guards marshal or military police. Some of these structures have been used for actual guard shacks and posts. In addition, X-ray equipment can be enclosed at port authority facilities.
